New Bhagalpur Railway Station Is the Face of Bihar’s Development

The railway administration is focused on the preparation of the New Bhagalpur Terminal Station, 14.40 kilometers from Bhagalpur Junction, at Jagdishpur. The railway land spread over 40-50 acres in the Bhagalpur-Dumka railway section at an expense of 250 crores. Malda DRM Manish Kumar Gupta has instructed the department in charge to create the outlines of their respective offices along with the information on size and facilities.
The detailed project report of the new Bhagalpur Railway Station is being built on the metro lines. In the design, drawings of platforms and four loop lines have been prepared. Considering the main line as the center, it will be built on both sides with a space of 50-50 meters. In this new station, CAMTECH pit and automatic coach washing line will be built in the new station. At the moment, two coach washing line designs are present on the map.
The new Bhagalpur terminal station will be connected to the main lines from both ends. Currently, there is only one main line in the station. The railway department has also increased its initiative towards constructing another track. From both these main lines to the station and year, there will be six reception and dispatch lines. Along with these, two new stabling lines of 700-750 meters length will be constructed, in which parking of a train of 24 coaches will be possible. The escalators, lifts, underground parking, and a spacious concourse area of this new Bhagalpur terminal station will be advanced.
Previously, the new Bhagalpur terminal station was to be built between Tekani Station, three and a half kilometers away from Bhagalpur Junction, but the required amount of land was not available. Hence, now it will be built in Jagdishpur.
