Bhagalpur, June 5: Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey inaugurated two new hospitals in the district on Thursday, June 5. Other than those two, he also laid the foundation stone of 22 new hospitals. The health department has already done all the preparation for the day. With the inauguration of Bhagalpur hospitals, it’s safe to say that the health sector of Bhagalpur is going to change drastically. The plan for today is, the minister will first inaugurate the Health and Wellness Centre (Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Amba of Shahkund). From there, he will go to inaugurate the Ayushman Arogya in Gosaindaspur village of Nathnagar block. Due to this, over one lakh people from the villages and nearby regions will be able to get proper treatment.
Bhagalpur Hospitals Inauguration by Health Minister

The people living in Gosaindaspur and Amba have been asking for a proper health care system for a long time. With the inauguration of the new Bhagalpur hospitals, this issue will not be a public concern, as they can get treatment for common diseases. Apart from this, a vaccination facility will also be available in these Ayushman Arogya centers. The Health Minister also reported that with 93 crores, new arrangements will be made for more serious health issues in Mayaganj and Sadar Hospital of Navgachiya and Bahgalpur.
The central government changed the name of the Health and Wellness Centre to Ayushman Arogya Mandir. According to the statement of Bhagalpur DPC Sunny Kumar, the plan is to build in total of 22 hospitals in Bhagalpur. By the orders of the headquarters, the hospital lands have been made available for the construction process. In such a situation, in the coming times, buildings will be constructed in Barmasiya of Pirpati, Bandhu Jayaram, Jagarnathpur, Antichak, Pakki Sarai, Chhoti Naki of Sanhaula, Akbarpur of Kahalgaon, Mohapur of Goradih, Tarcha, Sonu Deeh, Badi Makandpur of Gopalpur, Nawada, Ujani, Simra, Buddhachak Tetri, Nagarh, Punama Pratapnagar, Dharhara, Dumariya Chapparghat, Latra, Buddhachak, Garaiya of Navgachiya.
Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana All Over the District
Bhagalpur’s health care system is seeing a massive growth with Ayushman card camps all over the district. On Thursday, May 29, special camps took place under the Prime Minister scheme in certain Gram Panchayats of Sultanganj. It is reported that over 4000 cards have been made in three days. The district government later decides to extend the days. Initially, the plan was to organize Ayushman card camps across different panchayats on May 26, 27, and 28. The goal was to make 1,500 cards in each panchayat.
For those unaware, the key benefits of the Ayushman card are the hospital coverage of Rs. 5 Lakhs per family per year. It covers over 1,500+ medical procedures, including serious issues such as cancer treatment and surgeries. Both public and private hospitals accept this card. There is no age or family size restriction. In this special camp organization, Jeevika Didis, Vikas Mitras, Pachayat Rojgar Sevaks, and ASHA Workers worked collaborated as a team. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s vision of a better health care system in Bihar is turning out to be fruitful.
