Bhagalpur, Bihar: Under the instruction of the Chief Election Commissioner, a special revision campaign of the voter list is being run in the Bhagalpur district. A review meeting of the voter list campaign was recently held in Bhaglpur. Dr. Nawal Kishore Choudhary gave a strict warning of suspension to BLOs if they did not upload the counting form. An education officer will likely be in charge of seeking clarification of the slow progress of work. Community organizations and Jeevika Didis are playing an active role in the Bhagalpur voter list verification. He also directed the District Program Officer to monitor and supervise the work of the employees and officers.
In the meeting, it was disclosed that due to the lack of an education officer, there is difficulty in supervision of he special intensive review program. The Sadar Block Statistical Officer will likely get this responsibility. The work of the census under the Child Development Project Officer of Ajgaibinath Dham and Bhagalpur Sadar is slow; the officers were asked to give clarification.
Additional Collector, Deputy Election Officer, District Land Acquisition Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar, District Education Officer, District Information and Science Officer, District Supply Officer, Senior Deputy Collector Ankita Kumari, etc., were present in the meeting.

Suspension of Teachers Due to Negligence

Looking at the negligence in Bhagalpur voter list verification work, three teachers have been suspended. A letter has been written to the planning unit regarding one teacher for departmental action. The teachers were entrusted with the task; however, after the review on Saturday, it was found out, he had not started the verification work yet. During the suspension, all the teachers will report to the Block Education Officer Headquarters. Panchayat teacher Akhilesh Bharti of Navagachiya Block was also negligent in the election work. Hence, a letter has been written to the secretary of Gram Panchayat Nagar seeking departmental action.

Active Contribution of Jeevika Didi in Bhagalpur Voter List Verification
Jeevika Didi is spreading awareness regarding the special intensive revision campaign. They are also providing information about filling out the voter list form, along with the necessary documents. They are also guiding the employees in collecting the filled form.
According to the District Project manager in charge, Abhishek Kumar, 1842 community organization workers in Bhagalpur district have been trained for this special intensive revision campaign. They will take care of the process of filling out and submitting the form for eligible voters. In the next two days, the forms will be filled and collected from all the houses. The Community Catalyst in Parbatta Panchayat, Imailpur, Nishar Kumari, is visiting the houses of families associated with the Jeevika Didi and collecting forms to add the names to the voter list. Following this, all the forms will be uploaded on the BLO app.

Note: The Bhagalpur voter list verification survey will continue going door to door till July 26. The draft voter list will be out on August 1. The voters will be able to raise objections from August 1 to September 1. Following all of this, the final voter list will be out on September 30.
