The preparation work for the Bhagalpur Shravani Fair 2025 is underway, including fixing roads, which is progressing very well. They are currently constructing NH 80 between Ghorghat and Mirzachowki, of which 87 percent is completed. The road work between Kahalgaon and Zeromile will be completed soon. The approach road of Vikramshila Setu will also be repaired, and the construction of many ROBs is also proposed. Also, a lot more work is needed, such as bridges, which are required. Throughout the country as well as outside, lakhs of people from around the world conduct parikramas of the shivling and start toward Devghar after filling water from Ajaibinath Dham. This time, there will not be rough and broken roads toward Sultanganj.
Bhagalpur Shravani Fair 2025: Nitish Government’s Measures Will Benefit All

The work on NH 80 is split into two sections for Ghorghat and Mirzachowki. In the first part, the Ghorghat to Nathnagar Dogachchi road will be constructed. The estimate for the first section is already completed, with the remaining 13% expected by July 31. The district administration was reassured by the assistant engineer of NH, Ankit Kumar, that out of the roadmap, only road marking will indeed be done, which needs to be finished on time without any exceptions. He updated us regarding the ongoing construction activity on Zeromile and Mirzachowki roads, which is set at Rs. 350 crores.
The stretch of road still under construction between Zeromile and Kahalgaon is almost five kilometers. That should also be done by July. However, the aim is to finish work up to Mirzachowki by September. He informed us that the three smaller bridges have been completed.
The remaining four large bridges are also done in Ghoshpur. The Farka bridge is under construction, but that will be done very soon. Masadhu and two other bridges will be done before September. He also added that the Vikramshila bridge approach road between Navgachiya Zeromile and Bypass will also be fixed. For which more than 8 crore rupees will be allocated. Work is being done on the plan to repair the road before the Bhagalpur Shravani Mela 2025.
Also, he told us that ROB will be set up by Shivnarayanpur Safiabad of Munger and Mirzachowki. Drawing has been sent to the railway for NOC. Once I receive the NOC from the railway, the estimate will be prepared. He mentioned that a four-lane road is to be constructed up to Navgachiya and Bypass Chaudhari Dih.

Road Pass And Other Updates Ahead of the Fair

In Navgachiya, a vehicle underpass will also be added. The work on the four-lane road will be done in two phases. The first phase consists of the DPR of the four-lane road to be constructed from Navgachiya to Bhagalpur Housing Colony Mor, which will cost 249 crores and has already been sent to the ministry.
For phase two, DPR is being drawn up for the stretch from Housing Colony Mor to Chaudhari Dih. He also said that the tender for the Bhagalpur to Hansdiha four-lane road has been done. The other problem is that the tender has to be postponed due to land acquisition delays.
According to the district administration, all road work for the Bhagalpur Shravani mela 2025 needs to be done by the 31st of July. Other beautification work, like painting and putting up indicators, is still running. The road work has been completed. The work progress update was shared by the Joint Public Relations Director, Nagendra Kumar Gupta, and NH Assistant Engineer Ankit Kumar on Monday. He stated that the road construction has been accomplished from Dogachhi to Ghorghat in consideration of the Bhagalput Shravani Fair 2025. While other works of beautification, including painting and installation of indicators, have also reached a completion of 87 percent. These tasks will be finished by the end of July.
As for the four-lane highway project from Zero Mile to Mirza Chowki, the land acquisition has been completed. Some individuals are constructing a house, which is causing difficulties. The GAD payment for the three planned ROBs at Mirzachowki, Shivnarayanpur, and Safia Sarai in Munger is now underway with the Railways.
