Bhagalpur, Bihar: Bihar State Transport Corporation has commenced the Bhagalpur-Sanhaula bus service, which will be beneficial to the villagers. The first bus will depart at 6:00 AM, and the ticket price will be 63 rupees. Additionally, a women’s pink bus will start in 2-3 days, the route chart is already ready, only the permit is pending.
For the first time, Bihar State Transport Corporation’s buses will operate between Sanhaula and Bhagalpur starting Tuesday. The bus was flagged off on Monday by public representatives Prashast head Atal Kumar, deputy head Rakesh Kumar, and Salpur head Pinky Devi.
A long-standing demand of the villagers, along with the public representatives, has been for a bus service to be integrated to follow the rural route of Sanhaula to Bhagalpur, said Ajitabh Anand, the regional manager of Bhagalpur Transport Division. This route is serviced by auto rickshaws only at a very high fare, along with danger as an added risk.
Bhagalpur-Sanhaula Route Bus Starting Soon Along With Pink Bus
The regional manager said for now, bus services are being initiated. Both buses will leave for Bhagalpur at 6:00 am and 7:00 am, respectively. The fare from Sanhaula to Bhagalpur is Rs. 63. As noted, the Transport Corporation of Bhagalpur is pondering over the blocks on the periphery of the district that do not have a direct bus service to the city. Shortly, bus services will likely cover more locations.
“What we have to ensure on our end is that there are no issues with the bus conductor, which they will monitor regularly,” he stated about the bus, and said the Transport Corporation team will mount a visual surveillance camera monitoring system on the bus.
The operation of the pink bus must commence within two to three days at any cost, the regional manager has said. There will be a meeting soon with the District Magistrate for this.

As of now, we are waiting for Tuesday evening for the order. According to information from departmental sources, the route chart of two pink buses starting in Bhagalpur is ready.
