Bhagalpur new criminal law is more than a policy change—it’s a complete transformation of Bihar’s justice system made possible by technology. Everything from court proceedings online to uploading forensic evidence with mobile apps is being introduced in Bhagalpur to speed up, improve, and make criminal investigations clearer. Since district officials are prepared, this law is expected to bring big changes to how dealing with crime and punishment are dealt with.
Bhagalpur New Criminal Law: High-Tech Justice Coming to Bihar’s Crime System
Bihar’s legal system is being reformed, and Bhagalpur is right in the middle of it. As India introduces new rules for criminal laws, the district is using new technology to make justice reach citizens faster and with more accountability. Bhagalpur District Magistrate Dr. Nawal Kishore Chaudhary oversaw a meeting on May 23 to begin planning the event. Let’s look at the important outcomes of this important meeting.
Full Integration with ICJS & CCTNSÂ

The main strength behind the new justice rollout? Uninterrupted exchange of data between different systems. Both the Senior Superintendent of Police Hridesh Kant (Bhagalpur) and the SP Prerna Kumar (Naugachia) stressed that all police stations in the district are being added to the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS). Through TCS, most stations have linked up, and only a few are waiting in the pipeline.
The objective is to have police, courts, forensics, prosecution, and Juvenile Justice Boards connected with each other using ICJS. It is meant to increase the speed of detection and prosecution while reducing the time it takes to convict suspects.
Mobile & Laptop Access to Officers for Real-Time Evidence Upload
Based on the Bhagalpur New Criminal Law, officials working in police stations are receiving mobile phones and laptops. As a result, they can upload documents, videos, and case information right away, making the procedure more efficient and less prone to changes.
E-Evidence App to Revolutionize Forensic Uploads According to Bhagalpur New Criminal Law
E-Sakshya (E-Evidence) is soon going to be a real step forward. Teams will be able to send their evidence from the field directly into the central system using the app. The use of FIRs, charge sheets, and evidence makes everything immediately available to the court when hearings take place. Bhagalpur’s FSL office can now securely hold sensitive forensic materials because four new high-tech forensic vans have been supplied with additional storage space.
New Prosecution Buildings & Smart Courtrooms on the Way
Issues related to identifying where new prosecution buildings should be built in Bhagalpur and Naugachia were also discussed. They will act as gathering points for law enforcement and the prosecution.
The Bhagalpur New Criminal Law framework also includes the Multi-VC (Video Conferencing) project. Using this, prisoners awaiting trial will be brought to courts from behind a screen. As a result, transportation is safer, and it takes less time to settle legal issues.
Legal Awareness Campaigns in Collaboration with DLSA
The group decided to include legal literacy classes since new laws do no good if people don’t know about them. Together with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), these programs inform people about essential parts of the new laws. It will make people learn the sections in the Indian Civil Protection Code 23, 472, and 479, and e-Prison. Doing this outreach helps make sure the system works well and gains the trust of everyone involved.
Training Centers for Law Enforcement Under the Bhagalpur New Criminal Law
To make sure the laws become a reality, the district wants to have a training center with approved master trainers. These experts teach officers the best ways to use the technology to comply with the new regulations.
Bhagalpur New Criminal Law proves that blending technology, good coordination, and informing the public can make a traditional justice system more effective. Thanks to digital evidence, smart courts, and a single criminal tracking system, Bhagalpur is becoming known for leading the way forward in Indian law enforcement and justice.
