The Chairman of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Vivek Kumar Singh, has urged the district police and municipal officials to be active regarding implementing the Bhagalpur RERA Act. A form has been sent to all districts to obtain reports from the district administration on compliance with the Act. They will now send regular reports to survey the effectiveness of the Bhagalpur RERA Act. RERA law will protect the interests of home/plot buyers.
On June 17, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of DM Nawal Kishor Chaushary. After surveying, the team said, several apartment and land plot owners in Goradih, Sabaur, and Jahdishpur will face consequences.
All plots and apartments in urban areas must have RERA registration. The DM said the RERA team needs to work on a ground level to find these people out. In order to get to the roots, they can take help from the electricity department. No construction takes place without the help of the electricity department. He said electricity will be cut off from the unregistered projects. He asked the team to coordinate with the Urban Development and Housing Department to take action against unregistered apartments. The DM and Superintendents of Police will also have a facility. They can lodge the complaint on the Bihar RERA portal if any victim complains, so they can take immediate action.
