Bhagalpur Pink Bus Route Chart, Bihar: In a leap towards women’s empowerment in Bhagalpur, the city has launched ‘pink’ buses exclusively for women. The buses will operate daily from 6:00 am – 7:00 pm, offering services during the peak daytime hours. The scheme has been positively received as it aims to improve women’s safety and mobility around the city.
The fare system is equally accessible, with the minimum charge priced at just eight rupees; therefore, women from all walks of life can benefit. Perhaps the most notable aspect of the initiative will be the employment of female conductors, which will be a first in the area. Not only will this help to boost female employment participation, but it will also encourage greater trust among female passengers. Each bus will be operated by a male driver. Bus Route of New Bhagalpur Pink Bus
Each pink bus has its own dedicated bus route. One of the routes will operate the Champanagar – Mayaganj Hospital route that includes major halts like Nathnagar, Tatarpur, Bhagalpur Station, Kachhari Chowk, Nagar Nigam Chowk, and Tilkamanjhi. This route encompasses a large portion of the city and is thus beneficial for women who work or study in these locations.
The other bus will facilitate travel from Jagdishpur to Sabour Agricultural College. It will cover Puraini, Baluachak, Bucket Factory, Bhagalpur Station, Kachhari Chowk, Nagar Nigam Chowk, Tilkamanjhi, Zeromile, and Rani Talab. These routes have been strategically sought out to cover important residential as well as learning areas. It will certainly enable easy and safe access for all female students and working women.
